Drivers Yamaha 01x Downloads
Have spent the last 2 days getting mlan drivers working in 64bit win 7 on my 01v96vcm. Running emu emulator x3 64bit Mlan tools 64bit Studio manager version 2 You can download 64bit xp drivers these work in win 7 just the 01v96 driver is not signedran os in driver signature mode off.need more testing.mlanbus driver ok. A quick picture will update info when fully figured out how to install correctly Installation process.i had windows in test mode ( turn driver signature off ) only way it will work!!!!!! Download mlan tools 64 bit version or x155 64bit drivers. Inside the mlan tools directory is Pdevice and Vdevice. Pdevice is Physical Mixers drivers. Vdevice is mLanBus drivers.
Now setup your system. Disable wifi lan etc This is normal if i remember but might be ok per system. Change firewire driver to legacy mode.
Right click, update driver, select legacy driver. May be reboot if required. Next step installmLanBus First go to Vdevice directory Run administrator ” addmlan ” This adds mlanbus to device manager. Next run admin ” mLanVDevinstaller1 ” This should update device manager install mLanBus.
If these dont work try running ” mLanVDevUninstaller1 ” and then rerun previous two steps. Now you should have mLanBus in device manager.
Now you will need to manually install the Pdevice using inf file.so go to windows device manager add device go to Pdevice directory install as have disk. If this wont work plug in mixer it should find a device ( manually update drivers to your device ) Now run ” mLanSoftPH ” admin this installs. MLanBus.sys mLanMidi.sys mlanstrm.sys now check windows/system32/drivers Directory for mlan.sys files. I noticed that the mlanstrm.sys file was not installed. So i copied it to system32/drivers directory also change name to mLanStrm.sys this seems to matter some how ( inf file has capitals ) yamaha file didnt!!!!!! Now you should have mLanBus and MY16-mlan in my case installed in device manager. ( dont run two firewire cards this can screw up install ) If not done so plug in mixer see if everything ok.
( my 01v96 seems to be specific to port 1 not 2!!!! Reboot if you want probably best to. Next run ” mLAN Manager ” this hopefully should start mLan and install 4 drivers ( i had sound turned up to hear pings ). ( some problems might occur in device manager with unknown device.i think this is the streaming driver not installing correctly ) if this happens try manually using Vdevice ( mLanBus.inf ) to update. This must occur in install process.streaming is based on ks.inf most of yamahas products use this method ( asio type drivers ).

Now turn mlan on in task bar menu this might work or might not.i tried graphic patchbay and my 01v96 appeared. Driver setup didnt work.dont know why. Auto connector didnt workdont know why. My mixer started to show adat sync errors which means its working. I manually selected patchbay setting and it seemed to work. Also look a node values to OUT option might be turned OFF..This is not 100% working and seems to be ASIO specific.ASIO4all only says 2 output which is normal for mlan.
If non of this works correctly try uninstalling devices and rescan to find again my laptop has built in ricoh card but i use TI card ( this caused mlan to default to ricoh card ). List of files: Mlansoftph.exe (64bit specific ) Mlanstart.exe ( start inst bus drivers ) Addmlan.exe ( device install 1 ) Mlanbus.inf ( mlan install file ) Mlanbus.sys ( bus driver ) Mlanmidi.sys ( midi ) Mlanstrm.sys ( stream driver!!!!! ) Mlanvdevinstaller1.exe ( install dev 2 ) Mlanvdevinstaller1.exe ( uninstall dev ) Mlan.inf ( mixer install file ) Mlanpdev.sys ( mixer driver ) Mlanpdevinstaller2.exe ( wont work!! ) In other versions of yamaha mlan the mLanPDev.sys is called mlandev.sys. So check windows/system32/drivers For 3 mlan files bus, midi, stream. Thats about it so far this is not guaranteed to work but have tested emu emulator x3 multi out and have tested with presonus studio one pro before. Yamaha will not update drivers so this is the best you can get for now!!!!!!!
Update fixed sync error go to word clock on 01v96 select mlan slot Now everything works. Final pics on windows 7 64bit os Thats it everything working in 64bit mode win7 no problems.!!!!!!!
Update on mlan: 16 outputs worked in studio one but inputs wont work looked in graphics patch bay and input is greyed out ( out says 16 out ).must be inf install setup for mlanbus.nightmare!!! Hi friend, Thank you so much for your tuto. I have installed with success the mLan drivers for my Yamaha 01X. It seems to work But, I have problems with the midi ports. The mixer 01x has 5 midi ports. Midi port 1 drives the mixer as a control surface, midi ports 2 & 3 are available for synth connexion, midi ports 4 & 5 are used for Studio manager.
With the driver installed on Win7x64, midi ports are not defined, so i cannot use my 01x as a control surface. Have you such a problem? If yes, have you ant solution?
